I have quite silky hair which is hard to volumise so I often resort to back combing the roots a little on nights out - enough to give it some body but without damaging it! So, I was excited to try 'Keratin bulking spritz' from The Chelsea Collection by Richard Ward. It claims to add weightless body to your hair whilst boosting the roots. It contains keratin which is needed to keep your hair healthy and re-build natural fibres, wheat protein to improve lustre and kukui which restores moisture and provides heat protection.
After washing my hair, I towel dried it, separated it into sections and lightly spritzed the spray from my roots to mid lengths, then blow dried as normal. There was a noticeable difference to my hair, it had more body and even lasted until the next morning. However, on a night out , I think some back combing would still be required depending on how much body you like your hair to have.
The spray can also be used on dry hair for a quick boost between washes. It made me hair very crispy at first which did brush out. However, unfortunately I didn't notice any difference in my hair so would stick to using it after it has been washed.
I would love to try the shampoos and conditioners in the range, especially the keratin restore shampoo to see the effects they had on my hair! You can buy the collection at Waitrose.
