Winter is an absolute nuisance when it comes to my skin - the central heating and cold weather play havoc with it. I tried moisturising my skin morning, noon and night but it wasn't doing the trick. Recently, I was sent a serum by Escentual to try in between cleansing and moisturising my face. I was excited to use the Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum.
After cleansing my skin, I pumped a small amount of the hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic serum onto my fingertips and applied it to my face and neck. It felt really silky as I smoothed it onto my skin and after leaving it to soak in for a few minutes, I applied my moisturiser - (Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream which is simply amazing).
I noticed a visible difference in my skin after just a few days of using the serum. My skin feels smoother, softer, healthier and rehydrated. As it's made from thermal water and contains no oil, it didn't clog my pores. The horrible winter-induced dry and sensitive skin has been banished! I'm really glad that I tried this product and I'm going to carry on using it in my normal skincare regime. I'm a serum convert.
After a quick Google search, I found that Escentual's price of £12.75 (RRP £17.00) is the cheapest around. There is up to 25% off the French Pharmacy category for the whole of March. Plus delivery is super quick and they always include lovely little freebies, such as a nail file. You can buy it here.
*Thanks to Escentual for sending me this product for review purposes.
