Summer Edition III

A few days ago, I'd been for my dreaded dental check up (turned out I didn't need anything doing - hurrah) and afterwards we bumped into my Nan who needed a bit of cheering up so we took her out for lunch. It worked a treat and we had a lovely day.

We headed to the Malmaison for a spot of lunch. The fries and aioli dip were sensational!

After having a long lunch and a chat, we headed outside for coffee and dessert. My Nan chose the fruit skewers with white chocolate, milk chocolate and coconut dips. It was really delicious but perhaps not enough fruit!

My Nan is one of the funniest, kindest and wonderful people I know. I think this is her debut on my blog!

My incredible Mum.

After having a good old laugh together, we headed for a little walk.

Thanks to my Mum and Nan for a lovely day! My Nan said it was one of the best days out she's had for a while, which was the best thing I could have asked for.

I'm trying to decide on a new camera. My iphone is great to just whip out of my handbag and take a few shots but I'd love more high quality photographs. I was thinking of an SLR but was out off by it's size and weight so thinking more along the lines of a Canon Powershot G1X. Has anyone got one of these or could you recommend one?

Thanks you.

  1. Great to spend a day with your loved ones! Regarding the camera, I would invest in an SLR if you want quality pics. I got the lightest Canon SLR a couple of months ago (Canon 100D) and I'm very happy with the pics it takes. I also have an ultra light Canon IXUS digital camera. Even though it's very handy, the quality of the photos is not the same...

  5. I love days out like this, it's always so nice to spend days out with family. Those skewers look soo yummy! I love my little Sony cybershot for snapshots, but nothing really compares to the quality of a good DSLR, you do get used to carrying the extra weight though & there are some really light ones about now too!
