Throwback Thursday

If there's one catwalk show I would have walked a thousand miles to be at, it's the Chanel Pre-Fall 2012. The theme was Paris-Bombay which combined the opulence of Paris with the rich, beautiful fabrics and jewels of India. The setting has to be one of the most breathtaking that I've seen, with guests seated at  long tables showered with candelabras, flowers, gold cutlery to eat a mouth watering banquet and a miniature silver train which sped along a winding track.

Karl Lagerfeld has never been to India. He said, "It's much more inspiring not to go to places than to go." What do you think? Do you agree with My Lagerfeld?

  6. Well, what a gorgeous collection. But I do think that you'll get most inspired by things if you not only see them but smell, hear and feel the whole atmosphere of certain culture ..Experience things and then create, based on the emotions and inspiration gathered. :) But, we're all different.

  9. This does have elements of Bombay(now called Mumbai), and I am proud that Karl Lagerfeld did not modify the elements to an extreme level.
