Summer wish list.

I'm so excited that the weather is getting a little warmer and the nights are getting lighter as it means I can finally start buying and wearing summer clothes. I'm really attracted to oranges, peaches and shades of silver and grey and I think they'll look perfect for the warm months.

1. MSGM dress. This is a perfect Summer dress. The coral colour adds a stunning splash of colour to your wardrobe and the gathered waist gives the most flattering shape.

2. Vivienne Westwood earrings. These earrings are inspired by Ancient Greece. The pattern is simple yet elegant and the tassels add a touch of glamour. They wouldn't go out of fashion quickly so could be used for years to come.

3. Helmut Lang dress. This dress is a sporty yet feminine design with draping and a colour block design is bang on trend and would look perfect with a simple blazer for those warm summer nights ahead.

4. Alexander McQueen dress. This dress is the most beautiful colour with a pretty and elegant floral print design. It'd be the perfect dress to wear at a wedding in the daytime into the evening and will compliment your curves!

I'd love to wear one of these dresses with my pastel coloured Brit Stitch bag this Summer!

The Great British Florist

One of my favourite aspects of Britain are the country gardens. They're romantic and whimsical, dotted with tulips, bluebells, foxgloves, snowdrops and blue forget-me-nots.

So you can imagine my delight when I received a posy from The Great British Florist. It is an English country garden in a vase.

Posy of the month* - the flowers change depending on the season and you can join a flower club and receive a bunch every month.

The flowers arrived beautifully packaged, with plenty of water and flower food. I didn't know this but only 10% of flowers sold in the UK are actually grown here and The Great British Florist is committed to selling flowers which are grown on British farms. This also means that there are no air miles so carbon emissions are minimal, flower waste is composted and plastic is recycled.

I can't tell you enough how beautiful these flowers are. Despite the fact that I was sent them to review, I wouldn't hesitate to order them again. They're perfect as a present or as a beautiful treat to brighten up the home. I have been inspired to go to my local garden centre and buy seeds to start growing my own English country garden. Thank you to Heather, who runs the company.

Brit-Stitch

Being from a very big and close family, I was always at my Nan's when I was little. She had milk delivered every day and when the milkman knocked in the wind, rain and snow to be paid, I'd run to the front door with her. A vivid memory is watching him put the money in a really unusual leather bag and when I saw Brit-Stitch's designs, I wondered why they looked so familiar to me...I read about the inspiration behind the brand only to learn that their bags came from the idea of a milkman's bag!

The designs were developed further and I ummed and ahhed over the choices and beautiful colours, before finally settling on a greyed jade 'office' bag with a turn lock. It has a strap too but I decided use mine as a clutch for the photos.

I was over the moon when it arrived. It is so beautiful and the quality is amazing. I showed my Nan on Easter Sunday and she loved it too.

My garden was far too boring as a back drop so I decided to transport myself to more idyllic places...

Thank you to Gretch, who was so lovely. The Brit-Stitch website is coming soon, but for now you can buy them at The Hut.

Love,
